Boyd is an author and photographer who’s extraordinary life is documented in both her autobiography “Wonderful Tonight: George Harrison, Eric Clapton, And Me” and fine art photographs.

Boyd’s passion for photography has developed since that time and through her membership of the Royal Photographic society she has studied the great master photographers of the past as well as printing techniques, enabling her to experiment with her images in new and exciting ways. She now explores many avenues in color and black and white Рlandscapes, travel and flowers as well as celebrities and musicians. RONNIE WOOD UNVEILS HIS NEW PAINT IT BLACK SERIES IN DUBLIN

DUE TO LOTS AND LOTS OF PHONE CALLS, INTEREST AND STONES FANS RONNIE’S SHOW AT GN1 HAS BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE…..

Ronnie Wood, currently one of the worlds most collected artists, unveiled his new ‘Paint it Black’ series at Gallery Number One, 1 Castle Street, on June 19th. The exhibition on show until July 6th shows over 40 pieces of original artwork and limited edition screen prints.

PLEASE NOTE RONNIE’S WORK WILL NOT BE DISPLAYED ON OUR SITE UNTIL AFTER THE SHOW!!! YOU HAVE TO COME IN TO SEE IT ;-)

Ronnie’s most recent collection, Paint it Black, is a series of 5 individual prints which makes up Ronnie’s visually captivating suite of portraits of the Stones. Originally painted with acrylic paint and oil pastels on black paper these images are unlike anything previously seen in Ronnie’s catalogue.

With his signature gesturing style of simple and elegant lines, that can convey anything he chooses, has conjured from a black void, the soul of the Rolling Stones. By not allowing our view to be distracted by anything other then the lines and colors in his command, he has been able to perfectly express the swaggering ballet of Keith, the soleful siren song of Lisa, the rhythmic charge of Charlie, and the vamping powerhouse Mick.

The exhibition will also showcase work from Ronnie’s Jazz and Blues suite plus the Faces, We’ll Meet Again and Wa Wa Wood collections.

Ronnie has been painting and drawing since age 12, even longer than he has been playing guitar. As an ongoing part of his multi-career, he paints the musicians with whom he plays, documenting his world tours and recording sessions in vibrant action portraits.

PLEASE NOTE RONNIE’S WORK WILL NOT BE DISPLAYED ON OUR SITE UNTIL AFTER THE SHOW!!! YOU HAVE TO COME IN TO SEE IT ;-)

GN1 presents JAMES RIZZI

JAMES RIZZI could be the world’s most famous living artist, although sometimes he is known as ‘that guy who draws the buildings with faces,’ and sometimes he is known as ‘the guy who draws those birds.’ Rizzi has never had a show at the Louvre or the Met, although he has been to both places, but in terms of audience, he’s as big as they come. Over his long career Rizzi has created hundreds of prints, paintings and drawings, and he has put his art on lots of other things, like buildings, airplanes, cars and cows

Rizzi is huge in the United States, huger in Japan and hugest in Germany, but that’s just the beginning. His cult is growing everywhere. There’s even a Rizzi on Seinfeld.

Rizzi is of Italian Irish descent. His mother being Irish and his father Italian (Think USA ’94 Giants Stadium!!)

Gallery Number One is delighted to be representing him in Ireland for the first time. Make sure and check it out!!!!
