Hello Folks – after a summer of sellout shows we are now deep in thought as to our next moves and hope to announce our schedule for the next 6 months shortly. We don’t want to put shows on for the sake of having shows, we want them all to be different and special so hold tight and we’ll let you know the score shortly.

In the meantime come in and check out our permanent exhibition which we are proud to say now exclusively includes the wonderful Miss Pattie Boyd. We also have Ronnie Wood on permanent display and full access to his complete portfolio. Other artists include Irish printmakers Frieda Meaney and Paul LaRocque aswell as London based Irish artist Frank Kiely. 

And before I forget Skewville, the legendary NYC Street Artists are also available exclusively at Gallery Number One also!

We’d like to thank mens online clothes store Genius.ie for all it’s support over the summer also!!

Skewville does Dublin

Legendary New York street artists Skewville will be taking over the windows and creating an installation out of Gallery Number One. Skewville are renowned for their work in New York’s Lower East Side as well as their new space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This will be their first show in Ireland and promises to bring lots of colour and flavour to this years Fringe Festival.

The show has been extended due to popular demand….

Monday to Saturday 11-6, Sunday 1-6 & Late Night Thursdays until 8.

The show is open folks so make sure and drop in….Monday to Saturday 11-6, Sunday 1-6 & Late Night Thursdays. Their is no entrance fee and all work is available to buy!!

The unique screenprints on display have been specially produced for Pattie’s show in Dublin by New York Pop Artist Daniel Dens.¬†There are ten available ¬†and all are countersigned by Pattie Boyd and Daniel Dens. A selection of these will also be on display in Saatchi‚Äôs in New York City as part of¬†Daniel’s show there.

August 21^st – September 5^th

Hot on the heels of the Ronnie Wood exhibition, Pattie Boyd, rock legend muse to George Harrison and Eric Clapton will exhibit photographs taken during her days with Harrison and Clapton, titled Through the Eye of a Muse, at Gallery Number One, 1 Castle Street, Dublin 2

The exhibition will open August 21st to September 5th. Pattie will be in Dublin for the official launch of the show at Gallery Number One on August 28th, buyers of her work before this date will be invited to attend the invitation only launch where they will have the opportunity to meet the inspiration for the masterpiece songs “Something”, “Layla”, and “Wonderful Tonight.”

Boyd is an author and photographer who’s extraordinary life is documented in both her autobiography “Wonderful Tonight: George Harrison, Eric Clapton, And Me” and fine art photographs.

Boyd’s passion for photography has developed since that time and through her membership of the Royal Photographic society she has studied the great master photographers of the past as well as printing techniques, enabling her to experiment with her images in new and exciting ways. She now explores many avenues in color and black and white Рlandscapes, travel and flowers as well as celebrities and musicians. Amongst her visual archive are many unique Polaroid’s and vintage prints never seen before.

Boyd’s autobiography was first published in 2007 and debuted at the top of the New York Times Best Seller list.

Gallery Number One celebrates the creative link between art, music and popular culture.
